DATAWRITE TITANIUM FULL FACE PRINTABLE MCC03RG20 16X DVD-R& PHILIPS MCC03RG20 16X speed DVD-R

I have been fortunate to receive samples of both these media and as my test results show both brands to be similar I am treating this disc as being the same. The Titanium full face printable is packed in a 25 piece cake-tub and the disc has a smooth matt white surface of 118 x 24 which is marginally smaller than some of the other full face printable media (118 x 22). The inner non printable area is clear and engraved in it is MAPA08 JB08045406 5 On the underside in the unused area of the dye is printed ZD3148-DVR-J47C1
The Philips is packed in a 50 piece cake-tub and the media has a laser cut type matt silvery gold finish with the name PHILIPS cut out in silver and the printing DVD-R underneath in maroon with the rating 1-16x 4.7GB 120mins stencil cut at the bottom in maroon. The is no specific area on this surface to write or print the contents. The inner clear ring had this engraved in it MAP633 JC13010634 5 On the underside in the unburned area of the dye was printed ZD3177-DVR-J47C1
The burning surface is even without blemishes and is a light purple in color, the edges of the discs are smooth and even so there should be a good balance with the disc.

The results from this old drive are astounding leaving me lost for words | | | Speed test shows another perfect curve | This 16x TITANIUM media is not what I expected from DataWrite as I was advised that they were going to use the CMCMAG media similar to the media I tested in December. I can however say I am not disappointed with the media which gives the full 16x speed burning capabilities with excellent results especially with the speed read graphs which are all PERFECT. Playback of the video content is quick starting, responsive with chapter skipping and without any picture freezing. These are more discs I can recommend in both the printable and non printable versions.
