FIRST IMPRESSIONS:
Once I unpacked the DVD player from the box the first thing I liked about it was the slim line stylish look of the machine. Also the remote is a nice shape and fits in the hand well compared to other remote controls that I have used. So first impressions on looks were very impressive.

EASE OF USE:
The DVD player is fairly easy to use; I did not read the instructions before using (I think everyone is the same?) and managed to get the machine working well. Once the DVD is inserted into the drive and closed the loading time I noticed was very fast for every media that was tried. The only thing that I would say was bad about this machine was the remote functions, mainly the mode button. You need to press the mode button to toggle between SKIP, SEARCH, KEY and VOLUME. When toggling between them it shows you on the top left hand of the screen which mode is selected. Once one is selected the +/- buttons on the remote allow for the different functions whether it be skip chapter or to increase/decrease the volume. Most DVD players have different buttons for each of these operations but I suppose this keeps the remote size small but still some users may find this annoying. On a plus note though the on screen display is very easy to use and all the leads that are required are supplied.

FINAL IMPRESSIONS:
I really like this DVD player and might actually purchase one myself, the things I like about it is its ability to play all the media that was thrown at it and also its stylish looks which would look nice next to anyone’s TV. The DVD player also plays a number of different formats: - DVD/S-VCD/VCD/CD/CD-R/CD-RW/MP3 which allows the machine to be an all round entertainment unit which when fitted with a nice set of 5.1 speakers (which the machine also supports) will bring great quality sound and picture to your home. The only bad points that I could say about this DVD player was the mode button on the remote but that is just a minor feature that I did not like.
