RiDisc Inkjet Cartriges
Thank you Meg for your excellent review which confirms my findings with this excellent printer ink. I have also carried out a few tests with the same cartridges in my Epson Stylus PHOTO R200 printer. The cartridges easily fitted into my printer although they were a slightly looser fit than the originals. The printer recognized them and there was no warning that they were not the originals.
My first test was a duration test to see how many full color images I could print from a set of full cartridges I printed 10 full page A4 full color prints of 5 different pictures and had this amount of remaining ink
- Black 80%
- Cyan 61%
- Magenta 69%
- Yellow 54%
- LT Cyan 48%
- Lt Magenta 47%
I then continued to print the same prints until the ink ran out which was at 102 full A4 full color prints at the highest quality and had the following ink left
- Black 58%
- Cyan 19%
- Magenta 37%
- Yellow 8%
- LT Cyan 0%
- Lt Magenta 0%
Adding up the total ink left I had the equivalent of 1.22 cartridges or 20% of the ink left which if the prints had been even colors I would have been able to print another 20 prints. The duration prints were done on plain copy paper for economy which left the paper damp & crinkled until the ink dried out but the quality of the prints were still good. | | I printed a couple of photographs scanned them and then compared them with the originals |
Original Scan of a Photograph of my Limousine at 600 DPI | | Scan of a Print on A4 Glossy Photo Inkjet Paper | | The print was printed the same size as the original photo & both pictures were scanned at the same resolution the only adjustments I made was to slightly decrease the brightness of the print | | Digital Photo of My Son in Germany Messing About | | | Scan of the Print of the above Photo on A4 Glossy Photo Inkjet paper |
| | Scan of the Print of the above Photo on A4 Plain White Copy Paper | | Apart from the black being a little over saturated this is a good picture | These are the first inkjet cartridges produced under the RiDisc brand label and the results speak for themselves in the quality of the printing and quantity of the ink which are equally as good as the genuine Epson cartridges costing over ten times more. This ink makes quality color printing very economical and equally ideal for use by children and Professionals.
With the cost of these cartridges there is no point in refilling or even resetting, I feel that the risk of doing so is to great considering that it is doubtful there would be any saving especially when the time factor and risk are taken into consideration
I understand that Ridisc are soon to be marketing a range of inkjet photo paper which will team up nicely with the Inkjet Cartridges, & if the cartridges are anything to go by they are onto a winner!
