Overview
This set of tests is the Plextor branded 16x speed DVD+R media which is supplied in both 25 & 50 cake tubs. The top surface is a matt metallic gold finish with the printed text being mirror finish, half covered in 0s &1s, the other half supports the Plextor logo, media description and 3 dotted lines for writing the discs contents. The dye side is an even mauve colour without any visible imperfections. This disc is manufactured by Taiyo Yuden so I would expect it to be of superior quality as quoted by Plextor

TESTLAB DRIVES

Conclusion
Most of the burns achieved the maximum burning speed but surprisingly the Plextor drive only managed to achieve a maximum of 12x speed out of two 2 attempts. The scan results are very good for 11 out of 12 of the drives being only let down by the latest NEC drive which I am sure will be improved by a firmware upgrade. All the RPM (read Speed) graphs show almost perfect and the quality score comes out amongst the best of the best

This disc looks nice with its gold finish making it look the part of another quality disc
