TMPGEnc 4.0 Xpress with Blu-Ray Support
TMPGEnc Guide Selecting the source files
The program starts up with the main logo & after the license has been validated we are met with this start interface which gives you the options on the Project menu to "Start a new project" or "Open a project file"
The tools menu has the "MPEG tools" "Batch encode tool" & the "Help File" The MPEG Tools are Multiplexer & Demultiplexer for all the popular MPEG1/2 formats. The Batch encode tool enables a number of processes to be run in batch mode (I will discuss this further later into the guide) The Help file brings up a 294 page help file which gives some idea as to how comprehensive this application is.
Selecting Start a new project brings up the Source window.
Here you have the options to selectAdd Slideshow (This allows you to make a slideshow from graphic image files) Source Wizard allows selection of various file sources to import
- Microsoft XP Media center DVR-MS file
- DVD-Video
- DVD-VR
- DVD-RAM
This supports DVD-RAM, DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R. DVD+RW media and imports the movie onto the hard drive Add file selects the media file direct and brings up the Clip Properties window
This window gives all the details of the chosen file an has the option of using a separate audio source or no audio at all Selecting OK brings us back to the Source window where additional clips can be added & sorted
