Start up Nero and select DVD in the drop down box on the top-left of the compilation wizard that should appear. Otherwise press the 'Ctrl and n' keys together.
![]() Check it is like the above. Then click on label at the top: ![]() Give it a suitable name (which must be relatively short to be compliant) I called it Arma as it's the film Armageddon. Then just click the New button. On the left of the screen (or the whole screen depending on preferences) appears the following: ![]() Drag the *.mpg file you encoded earlier onto the lower box: ![]() Now click on the file menu and select Write CD or click : ![]() Select Write and finalize cd. Check Determine maximum speed and Simulation if this is your first use of your CD Writer. Always leave Buffer Underrun Protection Ticked. Now click the Write Button. Now you just wait for it to write... Repeat the above process but drag and drop the second half of the film into the compilation window: ![]() Write your second part you can rename the disc if you want but they are separate discs so it's not necessary, which is why I just called mine Arma. Take the finished product to your standalone player and try it out. 99% of DVD players will recognize a VCD, some will only recognize it if it's a cd-rw disc so if a write once doesn't work you can try the RW.
