RiDisc, under the Risafe brand, have introduced a novel, efficient and highly cost effective way of storing all your discs.

The new electronic disc changer from RiDisc

Press Release: The introduction of the new Risafe from Ridisc means that time is now well and truly on your side. The Risafe is an electronic storage unit that holds, protects and organises your optical media in a straightforward and efficient manner. Each Risafe holds up to 150 discs and is very simple to use; by connecting it to your computer using a USB cable you can power up and retrieve data in seconds!

Each Risafe comes with a management software package that allows you to browse, store and retrieve files through the use of a database and a highly effective search engine. In addition, the Risafe’s motorised carousel enables you to pinpoint any disc or file in a matter of seconds, eject it and then load it onto your computer, CD/DVD player, or games console.

Features:
  • Each unit holds up to 150 of your favourite discs and allows you to store, browse and retrieve data at will.
  • The Risafe is easy to set up and to use. It has its own power supply enabling it to be used as a stand-alone unit; by linking it up to your computer via a
USB cable you can power up, locate and access the discs instantly..
  • Stackable units mean you can store as many discs as you wish without taking up space in your office or bedroom, and without needing to reboot your PC.
  • The units can be stacked with a maximum of 5 units per tower and by using USB hubs you can connect up to 127 units to a single PC
  • Each unit contains its own 1 port USB hub so it is possible to daisy chain them up to the maximum of 5 - see this diagram for details
  • The Risafe guarantees optimum protection with an automated insert and eject facility.
  • Each unit comes with special software, designed to recognise and categorise data from any new disc you insert into your computer’s drive.
  • Risafe's software database makes it possible for you to locate and eject any disc stored by entering a keyword, title or file name.

System Requirements
  • Windows XP, 2000, ME, 98SE or Macintosh® OS X (version 10.1 or higher)
  • Pentium II or G3 processor
  • 32MB RAM minimum (64MB RAM recommended)
  • 200MB free disk space
  • USB 1.1 or USB 2.0 compliant port
  • CD or DVD drive for capturing disc content
