Verbatim/Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation has issued a press release warning that a number of prominent to less known brands in Australia and New Zealand have been distributing certain recordable DVD models with false MCC MIDs (Media Identification Codes).
These discs are not by the Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation and thus do not have the same quality control measures and specifications as the official Verbatim supplied discs. As a result, Verbatim is preparing legal action in an aim to halt the supply of the DVDs with the misleading MID codes.
