Timeout mode
Probably most useful mode in reality technique behind constant motion Intro + Main + Looped Main titles see.
difference timeout mode makes button highlights also allows delayed. Ideal Intro + Main menu sequence. Buttons can delayed until menu appears. Any timout value setting applies clip played once entirely. get an immediate action Timeout value should 0.

Advantages / Disadvantages built-in method
One main advantages built-in features ability preview navigation prior complile. motion preview without realtime encoder hardware.. navigation will.
Reliability another benefit. I've had experience "expert" menus appearing screen correctly.. built-in varieties haven't failed me yet.
only real disadvantage built-in method can seem a little "clunky".
"Expert" method
method motionmenu creation uses none Maestro menu functions unless a choice so. In a case menu part project tree deleted. Otherwise Maestro gives a "No Menus" warning complilation. expert method work Dynamic Static content it's a big backup point view Static content can inflated sizes Dynamic content.
In essence "expert" method akin creating own subtitle stream anything else. In fact only difference a sub-titles stream an "expert" Dynamic menu a slightly enhanced chaptermark. Enough tease main event.
It's easiest think in terms example we know so well. Intro+Menu+Transition.VOB Tranistion+ChapterMenus.VOB demuxed CellID then segment VOBS demuxed M2V only. In addition M2V AC3 intact unsplit VOBs
should also demuxed. replace segments once purpose served. completed correctly source dir now looks in image below.

Shortcomings in regard chapter placement mean glitchy menus audio faults other errors. Definitely result required. Insert required chapters in "Navigate" movie. segmented now an easy task. Essentially it's a mark start every segment. There a couple things note here. Any segment buttons needs an additional mark setting chapters made. It's an option in chaptermark panel called "Button Highlight" show timeline a square box instead usual diamond. Note "chaptermark" "button highlight" should selected in panel any active segments.

Recording simple needs a little preparation best results.
player needs copy protection disabled always possible players.
Start playback first film player put screen display so shows time remaining whilst playing rewind movie beginning note time remaining when film restarts beginning. film I use an example displays 1:11:35 1 hr 11 mins & 35 secs. Take a note length film remove put second film in player check length before.
second film I use an example displays 1:12:45 1 hr 12 mins & 45 secs.
screen display player off leave playing ensure done correctly.
Now calculate time films together in my case 2hrs 24mins & 20 secs (I think) advisable use maximum size DVD-R so sure recording does burn brim I give 15 mins leeway in case decide flexible timing mode 2hrs 40 mins.
SETTING TIMER
Put a blank recordable DVD-R recorder
It’s now 9:30 so I timer start in 5 mins. Hit TOP WINDOW button navigate TIMER RECORDING select player input in my case AV2 timer commence 9:35 & stop recording 12:15 give 2:40 mins my calculations correct recording mode FR. When desired timer record settings entered press ENTER RETURN exit timer recordings settings mode. Press TIMER REC we now 4 mins up player playback first film.
SETTING UP PLAYBACK
player going viewing out put recorder (this in monochrome because recorder in standby).
Just before desired start point PAUSE playback. recorder come out standby 1 minute before recording starts checking disc go record pause mode; press STATUS button twice use screen status mode show RECORD PAUSE real time. Watch time in display wait player remote control until recorder starts record. Immediately recorder comes out RECORD PAUSE RECORD press PLAY player remote resume playback recording started in FR mode
We need stop recording end credits film so when film finishing & showing credits wait until desired end point press TIMER REC recorder remote thus cancelling recording.
THE SECOND FILM
We now up 1hr 12mins our FR recording a bit messing 11:00 we need reset timer record a 1hr 28mins fit second film allowing 15 over again. So timer commence 11:05 stop 12:33 selecting AV2 & FR mode before when timer correctly press TIMER REC remote then prepare player second film before. Use procedure starting second film stop recording end credits before.
There only a small amount space left DVD show 5-20 mins depending record mode makes up a workable size DVD.
TITLING DISC
Titling disc select TOP MENU remote control select DISC INFORMATION select ENTER TITLE enter disc title via screen keyboard
Titling individual films done selecting TOP MENU select DIRECT NAVIGATOR select film title use onscreen keypad enter titles. job I find a little tedious only takes 5 mins. individual film titles limited in length 44 characters DVD-R.
FINALIZING
titling done satisfied disc up requirements disc needs FINALIZED enabling in stand alone DVD players in PC DVD-ROM drives. done selecting TOP MENU select DISC INFORMATION select FINALIZE takes 5 mins longer able record it.
examination disc just recorded there a small amount unrecorded disc outer edge allowing copies most media without sticking towards end.
COPYING DISC
There only a few readers can read disc images correctly copying READ POST SUBJECT a suitable DVD reader can copied FLY imaged hard drive most good DVD burning software.

These codecs spring up a weekly basis without correct one installed & enabled impossible play even PC. I find K-lite Mega Codec Pack a valuable source latest codecs.
Media Players play MPEG2 streams video bitrates up around 30Mbps Freecom MP350 play internal hard drive USB & Network limit transfer rate around 20Mbps much less wireless. KiSS 1600 copes quite well higher bitrates via USB KiSS PC-Link restricted 10Mbps transfer rate. I use files maximum bitrates 20Mbps Kiss 1600 via a USB drive. I use files maximum bitrates 10Mbps Kiss via KiSS PC-Link. I use files maximum bitrates 18Mbps Freecom MP350 via a USB drive FTP. I use files maximum bitrates 25-30Mbps Freecom MP350 internal HD. A standard DVD a maximum bitrate around 10Mbps so there problem playing an un-encrypted DVD. I cannot recommend wireless network playing HD definition movies. Audio playback play DTS & AC3 streams badly muxed video non standard bitrate then audio can choppy non existent.

First I need extract audio AC3 DTS track I am going use & I use ProjectX demux audio .ac ac3.wav. I then use mediainfo determine correct format .ac3 .dts & rename extension accordingly. one audio file demuxed advisable play in "Media Player Classic" sure one going use correct language. Next convert file a multi-channel .wav movie over 1 hour long multi-channel .wav file in excess 4gig too large next program handle. So best way I find split .dts .ac3 55min pieces DVD Audio Files Splitter.
Now I working size .ac3 dts files I can convert multi-channel .wav files Tranzcode. a command line tool split audio files in directory then a simple batch file notepad can created follows | echo off

I ordered a Liteon 18x DVD burner a well known supplier was surprised & excited find had sent me DH20A1P a 20x speed burner I contacted Danny technical boffin in case there had a mistake find Liteon now shipping model standard :)

The 16x speed burners I tested varied in time up 6mins 47sec & although drives achieved maximum speed per specification actual average burning speed well below maximum ranging 9.55x 13.63x speed. I feel we still a long way 4 minute burn.

I decided a priority & started increasing memory 2gig purchasing XBox HD DVD USB external drive connected my PC. I Installed Cyberlink Power DVD 7.3 I was unable playback because my up was HDCP compliant. I initially upgraded an ATI 1650 graphics card AnyDVD (this was installed a means pirate my collection overcome problems HDCP compatibility) although I could now playback movies playback was choppy & I was unable use "In Movie Experience".
Time a benchmark so I installed 3dMark 2005 ran a benchmark result 3900 marks enough most applications enough HD DVD playback.
Next I decided upgrade he graphics ATI Sapphire X1950Pro 512MB increased my benchmark just over 6000 Marks only marginally improvement in playback
My CPU was an Intel Celeron D 347 (3.06ghz) (skt 775) & Cyberlink Advisor recommended a minimum 3.2ghz. I checked my motherboard spec & supported up a Pentium D 3.4ghz so I installed an Intel Pentium D 945 3.4ghz a larger heatsink checked benchmark time I get 8500 Marks
Playback now smooth "In Movie Experience" fully operational unfortunately audio only DD Plus 5.1 my system does support Dolby Digital True HD
